40-CLIP SALMON FLY BOX, 32 FULL-DRESS SALMON FLIES This is a tinplate fly box from the UK, marked with patent number 13561, probably Malloch.  Box measures 6” x 3 ½” x 12”.  Outside is black “Japanned” finish with typical losses, and inside is cream-colored enamel, also with some losses. Clips are in sets of five, for larger flies.  Box has a nickel-silver oval on the top with patent number but no name.  Flies are attractive Atlantic salmon patterns with feather wings, tied on up-eye and down-eye hooks.  Flies show some use but remain in good enough shape.
