VINTAGE STEEL FLY BOX, 119 CLIPS, 90 TROUT FLIES This is a black “Japanned” steel box with ivory-colored composite material (Zylonite?) inside which holds the 119 fly clips.  There is a mark at the bottom of one side which is very difficult to see (or photograph).  It looks like a Wheatley lozenge, but that is conjectural. Anyhow, nice British fly box with attractive trout flies, dry and wet.  The outside black lacquer has some of the typical losses, but remains presentable.  The inside is bright and clean. #104
